Westmalle Extra is the table beer for the monks and their guests. Westmalle Extra is brewed with water, malted barley and hop cones. The beer contains the same yeast as Westmalle Dubbel and Tripel. It is a top fermentation beer but much lighter (4.8%). Its aroma is typical of a Westmalle beer, and the hops are tasted at the end of the mouth. It is a very thirst-quenching beer.
