Gouden Carolus Classic Collector's Edition 2023 8.5% 3L Magnum

This "Grand Imperial Beer" is still brewed in the brewery of Mechelen called Het Anker. Dark, very balanced dosed caramel and aromatic malts provide, in combination with a traditional high fermentation, a unique beer that unites the warmth of wine and the freshness of beer. This makes it very suitable in combination with culinary specialties such as stews, wild, pates and even sabayon.
Following earlier prestigious awards, this beer was selected “Worlds’ Best Dark Ale” (WBA, 2012).
Every year an artist is given carte blanche to create a design for the three-litre bottle of Gouden Carolus Classic, the collector's item of brewery Het Anker.

Daily life in Mechelen, The Malinois love their hometown. On Saterdays, all mechelen's roads lead to the market. This is where the Maneblusser's life comes into full bloom, in all its fragrances and colors. This illustration is by Zinzi Moons (1993) a graphic designer from Mechelen who likes to draw inspiration from daily life in her hometown on the banks of the dyle river.
